The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is Australia's national program for people with disability, providing funding to eligible participants to access the supports they need to live an ordinary life. The scheme is managed by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and is available across all states and territories, including NSW.

  • You are aged between 7 and 65 years
  • You are an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or hold a Protected Special Category Visa
  • You have a permanent and significant disability that affects your ability to participate in daily activities

Once approved, participants receive an NDIS plan that outlines their funded supports across three budget categories:

  • Core Supports: Everyday activities like personal care, transport, and community participation
  • Capital Supports: Assistive technology and home modifications
  • Capacity Building Supports: Activities that help you build skills and independence
The NDIA pays providers directly. You can only use registered providers like Epyllion Services.
A plan manager handles payments. You can use both registered and unregistered providers.
You manage and pay for supports yourself. Maximum choice and flexibility.
Many participants mix management types for different support categories.
