Innovative Community Participation
Community connection is central to wellbeing. Our Innovative Community Participation support goes beyond standard activities to help participants find truly meaningful ways to engage with their community — based on their own interests, passions, and aspirations.
What Makes It "Innovative"?
This support is designed to be creative and person-led. We don't prescribe a list of activities — instead, we work with you to discover what genuinely excites and motivates you, then build opportunities around that. Examples have included:
- Volunteering with local charities and community organisations
- Joining hobby clubs (photography, gaming, cooking, music, art)
- Starting or joining a community garden project
- Participating in local sports or fitness programs
- Attending cultural events and festivals
- Engaging with faith communities
- Contributing to social media, podcasts, or creative content
- Building entrepreneurial or small business interests
